By this heuristic method a student can

1. Solve a problem by using his scientific attitude.

2. Explains his activities to be done.

3.Demonstrates the experiments illustrates the results of the experiments.

4. Acquires the knowledge about the new concepts.

5.Thinks independently collects and analyses the data for information.

Carbohydrates

1. Carbohydrates are compounds of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.

2. Found in our food are in the form of starch and sugars.

3. Carbohydrates when consumed in more than desired quantities , then the unutilized energy given by them is normally stored in the body in the form of fats.

4. Living cells receive carbohydrates from blood in the form of glucose.

5. GlycogenesisExcess of glucose is stored in liver and muscles as glycogen and this process is called Glycogenesis.

6. Sources : Rice, maize, potatoes, sugar, and jaggery, banana, mangoes.

7. The daily requirement of carbohydrate for an adult is 500 gms.
